It’s okay to be vulnerable. Expressing one’s deepest emotions can be challenging, but it’s necessary at times. Lucky for us, there are many artists who set the tone in taking this task head on.

Emotional vulnerability is one of the greatest gifts an artist can express to their fans. In the year 2021, there has been an abundance of musicians who traverse this difficult path. Their risks certainly paid off, and they will be celebrated in part two of my year end playlist series.

Category II: From The Depths.

Depth (Noun)- A profound or intense state (as of thought or feeling).

-Merriam-Webster Dictionary.

My second year end playlist, “From The Depths,” is filled with artists who use music as a vehicle to stir their listeners’ emotions.

Tales of pain, guilt, betrayal, resentment, and descents into darkness are present throughout this 43 minute journey. There are also stories of love, passion, inspiration, and hope for a better future mixed into this collection. These artists remind us that the human condition consists of a vast spectrum of feelings. Be sure to give this playlist a spin.
